The White House is perfectly suited for exclusive use.
If you have a special family celebration or just simply want a few days away with friends, then there are few better places in which to enjoy a relaxing break in West Dorset.
Our four bedrooms/suites (one of which is on the ground floor) can sleep up to twelve people in comfort and when you have exclusive use of our beautiful regency house, you can treat it as if it were your own!
We are happy to provide just bed and breakfast for your stay if that is what you prefer and we can direct you to some excellent local restaurants and pubs.
Alternatively we can provide lunch at the hotel (or packed lunches if you are going out for the day) and an evening meal if required. Dinner can be a simple buffet affair for a more casual and relaxed atmosphere, though if you have a special celebration, we can provide a more formal candlelit dinner if you prefer.
Menus can be tailored to suit your own specific requirements, special diets are not a problem and we can certainly cater for our younger clientele at an earlier time should the adults wish to dine a little later!
We are happy to accept most family pets by pre-arrangement.
There is much to do in the local area and we would be happy to help organise days out and events for you such as Mackerel fishing trips from Lyme Regis, exciting Rib Rides along the coast from West Bay, electric bike rides through the Marshwood Vale, horse riding in Devon, wine tasting at the Furleigh Estate to name but a few. There are also golf courses at Lyme Regis, Bridport and Seaton with fabulous coastal views.
Of course the Jurassic Coast is world renowned not only for its beauty, but also as one of the world's best fossiling beaches, particularly the stretch of beach between Charmouth and Lyme Regis. We can organise fossiling trips with local experts who can share their knowledge of the 80 million years of history exposed in the cliffs and will almost always send you home with a fossil or two.
There are fantastic coastal walks from either side of the beach at Charmouth or you can head inland into the rolling West Dorset hills and discover thatched pubs where you can enjoy a well earned pint or two before returning to the White House for dinner. In the cooler months you can relax in the lounge with the wood burning stove glowing in the fireplace, in summer there is a terrace out the front of the hotel to unwind.
Whatever you choose to do, we can help make your special break at the White House a memorable one providing happy memories for years to come.
